StormMinder

Launched in 2002, StormMinder provides a flexible and powerful framework for the deployment of power system dynamics and other applications. It is operationally proven to deliver improved system security, increased transfer levels and enhanced plant performance.

Known as StormMinder until 10 June 2008, the PMU version was renamed to PhasorPoint, reflecting the growing emphasis on synchrophasor measurements and the growing number of applications made possible through the availability of high-quality synchronised measurements.

The StormMinder name has been retained for use with Psymetrix legacy non-synchrophasor measurement systems. These systems will continue to be supported for as long as required. The process for upgrading from existing StormMinder installations to PhasorPoint and the range of new PhasorPoint applications is simple and straightforward. Contact Psymetrix for details of the various options available. Please note that StormMinder is not available for new installations.
